Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Hello,

I'd like to request a new feature for the window list applet that comes
with Gnome (I'm using Ubuntu 7.10, Gnome 2.20.1):

Add a new option to let one disable window minimizing in the
window list applet.

The current implementation contains an annoying bug (#41761) that drives
me crazy. As I rarely if ever minimize windows, a new option would be
the perfect fit for my needs.

When minimizing is disabled, the behavior should be as follows:

1) If you click the window list for a window that is not the topmost window,
bring it to the top and activate it
2) If you click the window list for a window that is already the topmost
window, activate it

Please let me know if you need any more information. If feature
requests, should be reported elsewhere, I would appreciate if you could
drive me in the correct direction. Thanks much for your time and
efforts.

Best regards,

Marco Hunsicker
