Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
Steps: 1. Open a document that does not need the horizontal scrollbar because the lines of text are not wider than the window. 2. Go to the bottom line and start typing until you reach the (right, if you are like me) margin. 3. Type a character (just one!) > The horizontal scroll bar appears over the last line; the last line > containing the cursor becomes invisible. Reason: It is confusing. (OMG, I have lost the cursor! The manager will have to get me a new one!) Fix: The window should grow downwards to accomodate the new scroll bar area. If that is not possible, the text pane should scroll to reveal the bottom line.
