Comment: Upstream seems to like the patch: "Many thanks for this patch. I'd stumbled across the patch while helping diagnose the missing usbfs issue for some ubuntu users, and put it on my todo list. It looks likely that the next release of gnome-pilot will offer HAL/DBUS support, which will avoid the use of usbfs. The above sysfs patch is likely to be used as a compile-time option if a suitable HAL/DBUS environment is not available."
