Thanks Sebastien for the .desktop-hint! Yet another nice mechanism by freedesktop.org, it seems...
Knowing these I can split this up in three concerns: Feature request: I think that in /usr/share/applications/gvim.desktop the Exec=gvim -f %F should be replaced by Exec=gvim -f %U, so that gvim does the ftp-handling. (Ok that's quite another package and does not belong here) What ist your opinion? Bug: Nautilus seems to handle the %F and %U parameters in the entry-field for user defined commands when working on local files but disregards them when working on ftp-hosted files. Feature Request: Could/Should nautilus download files and watch them for modifications in case a non-ftp-capable editor is used on them? -- nautilus does not provide command-line arguments to applications when used as ftp browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
