Could everybody who is having issues please do the following: 1. Read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems under the collecting sound info section. There is a script you can download that will get all necessary information about your sound hardware. 2. Please try and play audio through pusleaudio, then alsa, and state whether there is a difference in the sound, whether it be quality, whether it breaks up, etc. 3. Unless you have done so already, please run pulseaudio -vv from the command-line, and attach the output to the bug? This way I can see whether there is any difference in the detection of your sound hardware to others.
