Binary package hint: gdm
The following scenario is repeatable.
System boots to gdm welcome screen
Log in as user "jeff"
Login is successful. Select "switch user"
gdm welcome screen appears
log in as user "sandy"
Login is successful. Select "log out"
Session logs out, plain white screen appears. No access to welcome screen or
other running session.
Only way to regain control (that I have found) is to restart X
(ctrl-alt-bkspce)
Hardy 8.04 all updates installed as of 20:21 GMT 16-April.
