You have been subscribed to a public bug: When the screen goes blank after a white after the screensaver session when the computer has been idle for a while, I'm unable to recover the screen. It's just black with the background light on.
The machine is an HP tx1270eo; Hibernate works, suspend doesn't work (though that's not fully the exact problem here). The difference between suspend and when the screen goes to sleep, is that for the latter, I have still access to the system, i.e. I can restart X (and I regain the screen then), on suspend, I can't do anything. Have tried both the nv and the nvidia-glx-new driver, both borks. System is Hardy 8.04. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Screen sleep doesn't recover on my tx1000 https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/221085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
