Thanks for that hint. I am not using Visual Effects. When switching back to evince for examination I had a ~100 errors similar to this:
/var/lib/scrollkeeper/cs/scrollkeeper_cl.xml:469: parser error : Premature end of data in tag ScrollKeeperContentsList line 2 all included the file above or scrollkeeper_extended_cl.xml So I decided to do a " sudo dpkg-reconfigure scrollkeeper " which brought up " ///usr/share/gnome/help/blackjack/el/blackjack.xml:402: parser error : Entity 'Βοήθεια' not defined <para><guimenuitem>Προτιμήσεις&Βοήθεια;</gui..." which seems an error in this XML-File. I removed the "&" manually. After that the dpkg-reconfigure went fluently. PDFs would still not show in evince on MY account, but on another. On this second account all worked with evince OR evince-gtk. I dont understand what the difference of the packages, but I see something is wrong in my setup somehow. -- evince does not display PDF - evince-gtk fixes it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224597 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
