Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
gnome-terminal/hardy uptodate 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 Invoking Edit->Profiles ...->New in gnome-terminal results in the program exiting just after the name of the new profile is entered followed by hitting the Enter key. When gnome-terminal is restarted, the new profile has been created and is ready for editing. This has happened several times, at least three, including twice this morning. It is not, however, uniformly repeatable. I'm pretty sure that in all cases the exit happened when adding a second profile, the initial state being that onlty the Default profile existed. This sequence of actions just caused the error, the fourth time at least. Two gnome-terminal running, each started with gksu gnome- terminal. In one, I delete the second profile, called "ALternative". I quit the terminal in which I performed that action. I start a new gnome- terminal with gksu. I add a new profile and the program exits. This now seems repeatable, because it happened again, the fifth time, using the above sequence of steps. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-terminal dies on creation of a new profile https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227664 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
