Hello Mathias, 1)I just did an update / upgrade on all packages ( 20060413-16:20 ), the results are unchanged. I deleted the printer, rebooted ( just to make sure there are no leftovers ) and created a new one with gnome-cups-manager. The test printouts for 600DPI as well as 300DPI look garbled as before.(gnome-cups-manager-600dpi-300dpi.png)
2) Removing the printer and reinstalling it with cupsys (localhost:631) yields a nearly correct test page ( some of it at the bottom is missing ) at 600 DPI (cupsys-600DPI.png) and a quarter sized page at 300DPI with skewed colours. (cupsys-300DPI.png) While the printer is visible in gnome-cups-manager printing to it is not possible at all in 600 DPI ( the printer just blinks with the power light and has to be reset by powering off. ) Printing to it at 300DPI with gnome-cups-manager yields another garbled page, but somewhat different from the one produced in step 1) (cups-gome-manager-to-cupsys-300DPI.png) ** Attachment added: "Test pages as of 20060414-17:12" http://librarian.launchpad.net/2117549/cups-gnome-manager-20060414.tar.gz -- Printing a test page to Canon PIXMA iP4000 not possible https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37985 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
