I'm using dapper 20060415. This printer needs m2300w driver which is not included in ubuntu or debian. So you should not be able to select m2300w driver. This printer/driver is not listed on my computer in gnome-cups-manager using the latest foomatic-filters-ppds 20060406-0ubuntu1. Does gnome-cups-manager still detect your printer and suggest 2300w driver after latest dapper printing updates? -- Gnome Cups Manager doesn't install Minolta printer https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/29966
