For me that doesn't solve the problem on Hardy. Reinstalling Evolution had no afffect as well. I tried to acquire as much debug information as possible by editing the config file, but nothing relevant in de debug output. Thank to your comment I decided to run sabayon from the terminal (with root permission) and then I got: FATAL ERROR: can't open database at /tmp/sabayon-temp-home-FV1hfe/.local/share/tracker/data/common.db: unable to open database file
