You have been subscribed to a public bug: There should be an easy way to install .sh, .bin and .run files in Ubuntu. An example of this would be when a .sh file is clicked on the terminal window pops up and automatically executes a command such as "sudo sh <filename>.sh", and similar things for .bin and .run files. This would allow new users to be able to adopt Ubuntu more easily since it would allow users who know little about the terminal to install most .sh, .bin and .run files easily.
