You have been subscribed to a public bug: In Ubuntu Hardy Heron AMD64, the trash bin icon shows that the trash bin is empty, although the trash bin is full. Also the trash cannot be emptied.
There is a workaround: open the Gnome terminal, go to "/home/<username>/.local/share/Trash/files". Type: "sudo rm -Rf *" and press ENTER. This will delete ALL files AND folders AT ONCE. Then go to "/home/<username>/.local/share/Trash/info" and just delete the files in there. This does not require any special action. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 AMD64-> trash bin looks empty, is full, cannot be emptied. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
