Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
I'm trying to disable autostarting rhythmbox or banshee when connecting my ipod. However this behavior continues after disabling it in 2 different places. first of all the original place to disable this has diasappeared. used to exist in System > Preferences > Removable Drives and Media I was able to find a tutorial that led me to another default program that did list media players and disabled autostart there (forget the program, but was exactly like Removable Drives and Media with more devices) I then also disabled the functionality in gconf (desktop > gnome > volume_manager) and unchecked "autoipod" both of these listed rhythmbox as the default however I keep having Banshee launched when inserting my ipod. There however is no option in banshee to set this behavior and checking with them they don't even offer it, so it must still be a gnome-volume-manager bug. is there a way to see what is initiating the autostart? ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cannot turn off program autostart on ipod connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-volume-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
