I see this a personal opinion, frankly speaking I like the arrows as they are. That said I'll surelly consider contributed arrows, which follows the tango guidelines (and tangerine colors). Regarding irc I use to hang on #ubuntu-art, but I don't remember anyone bringing up this argument, but I don't spend all my life on irc :-)
