I did the following: - Ran "mv ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp ~ && killall gconfd-2 && killall gnome-panel" - Opened "Preferences > Preferred Applications" - Web browser was set to "Custom", I selected "Firefox" from the list - Closed the dialog.
