** Description changed:

  The gnome logout button is exposing some problem where a service (maybe
  network manager, or dbus??) takes a long time to shutdown.
  
  * hit Logout button
- .... wait minutes...
+ .... wait minutes...         (one user reports 50 seconds)
  * get dialog screen about logout/reboot/shutdown
  
- This happens on both Gusty and Hardy (x86-64) on only one machine.
- This machine is Q6600 and uses on motherboard Intel graphics.
