I am using Hardy Heron (32-bit) and occasionally the volume control
applet will show that it is muted when it is not. The icon has the red
slash mark, but clicking the icon shows that mute is unchecked and the
volume works fine. Muting and then unmuting, or any number of other
actions will cause this to fix itself though.
