Reasigned to pulseaudio. Had a very similar (if not identical) problem on my 
Fedora 9 install. Found that I couldnt play a music CD or, this time an .ogg 
(ok the fedora configuration of pulseaudio is totally non functional (for me 
atleast)). Removed all traces of pulseaudio using fedora "add/remove software" 
(which was tedious). Et Voila: Sound now works. But not in Flash So...
Next following some advice I used yum to install:
alsa-oss-libs
alsa-oss-devel

Pulse Audio needs fixing. Like a few others (on various forums), I would
prefer Pulse Audio to be an optional install.

Sourcepackagename: sound-juicer => pulseaudio
