I can confirm the following additional information regarding this problem:
- The problem is still present in Hard Heron (8.04)
- The problem also affects molecules when run standalone and -root
- The problem still occurs when run with option "ForcePCIMode " "true" in X
configuration.
- the X log file contains the following confirming (?) the ForcePCIMode option:
- My lspci -nn output is:

- There are other duplicate reports of this bug, some recent, (#231949,
#190580, #72672, #72942)
- I attach my xorg.conf
This problem is pretty ripe by now, will somebody please fix it?
