** Description changed:

- Hebrew text (possibly Arabic/Persian text as well) is cut from the right
- and small part of the text (dialogs, menu messages, etc...) is not

  makes Ubuntu a bit unusable for Hebrew users.
  
  The bug doesn't exist on the future release of Ubuntu (8.10), i think its 
because it comes with the latest GTK.
- can someone please investigate how was it fixed there? (may be related to 
this bug - http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503071)
