I notice that when I shutdown the machine, just before Gnome quits, I can see, 
briefly, the Gtk theme change, from my current theme, to something ugly (dark 
gray and squarish). 
Nothing dramatic I agree ;-), but nonetheless looks crap and untidy for sure.
It's probably the kind of little things that, if fixed, would help Ubuntu reach 
this "smooth/refined/glith-free" user experience, that it's seeking. ;-)
