Public bug reported: Affects: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed
Description: Some dialogues take a long time (from a few seconds to a minute) to open. This is not caused by hight load - the system is idle during the dellay. Apps may also become unresponsive while waiting for the dialogue to apear. Having the system monitor applet enabled could help during the observations. Apps I can easily reproduce: Epiphany: Edit -> Preferences Rhythmbox: Edit -> Preferences Gnumeric: Open/Save gnome-screenshot Open/Save dialogue in some apps (gedit, epiphany, gimp) Well behaved apps: abiword -- Some dialogues take a long time to open https://launchpad.net/bugs/42372 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
