Hi Alexandre,

It might well be hardware, but I have been running Breezy for so long
with this machine, I'm unsure as to why this issue happened at the same
time as changing to Dapper. I will try with a live CD and see what
happens.

I am not a programmer, so I can only guess as to what is happening, but
one theme seems to be common, and that is that Evolution is the program
that is most likely to crash. If I don't open evolution at all for a
session, then the machine continues to run with no problems ?????

I am running DAPPER beta on a Sony Vaio Z1 (1.5 Centrino) with 512MB
RAM. So unless my hardware has become faulty recently, the system specs
should be high enough. The VAIO is fitted with an ATI M6 radeon, which
is has no native support. Which reminds me, that there has been some
artifacts on the screen in some applications (not all) namely J-Pilot.
Perhaps it is a video related issue? I am only guessing.

I will have a look on my desktop (which has just been upgraded to Dapper
as well. I don't normally use Evolution on that machine, so haven't
compared.

Will get back to you ASAP.

Cheers,

Adam
