Public bug reported: I think this is a bug in gstreamer because if you can solve the problem by running gstreamer-properties and changing the video output plugin to "X Window System (No Xv)" instead of "Autodetect". The problem is that it comes configured incorrectly by default and the average user isn't going to be able to figure this out. I'm using an Asus A6U laptop with a SIS 760 video card. SiS video cards seem to be a patter. I tried running totem from the command-line with the "--debug" option, but there is no output. ** Affects: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- totem shows red x's instead of video https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
