I can confirm this on my machine, using Intrepid. Version is slightly more recent for deskbar-applet :
deskbar-applet 2.24.à-0ubuntu1 libdeskbar-tracker 0.6.6-1ubuntu4 Tracker plugin is not mentionned in the deskbar applet preferences.
