Sorry for previous comment noise: totally forgot that I could just
update the description.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: file-roller

In using file-roller, I note that I'm unable to order the contents
- hierarchically and whatever-else-ically. That is, if I order by date,
- and then by hierarchy, I should see the root of a folder, then it's
- contents. If you wanted to be clever, you might make it a tree
- hierarchy that could be dynamically expanded and reduced, like the
- common paradigm of a file system. Besides, what are archive files but a
- just another file system?
+ hierarchically and whatever-else-ically. That is, if I order by
+ location (hierarchy), I should see a folder, then it's contents. If you

+ system. Besides, what are archive files but a just another file system?

In the attached screenshot, the location column should help explain what
I'm talking about. I've ordered the archive by the location column, yet
I can't see any discernible order. Since the SC08-Matlab directory
contains all the other items, shouldn't it sort to the top or bottom of
  the list?

Similarly, it should be possible to order by multiple columns. Like how
you can in OO.o/Calc or MS/Excel. A user interface paradigm might be to
just stable-sort the items based on the column the user clicks. Thus,
to sort by "location, then size", I'd click on Size column, then the
  Location column.
