Hardy still opposes sound problems, can't try on intrepid since Ubuntu is my main os, and I don't change to the next one untill the stable comes out (30/10). All I can find out about my hardware in linux is that i use a realtek sound card, configuration doesn't matter (still gives the same errors), the configuration I use is standard. Gstreamer is a real pain in the ass, since many sound and video programs give errors blaming Gstreamer. I didn't have this issue with ubuntu versions before hardy.
