Public bug reported:

Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Sleep:
Causes my laptop to shutoff but will not restart. The laptop locks up and I
have to reset by holding the power button down. I see a message flash on the
screen about a missing swap file during the shutdown process? Disks Manager
shows the swap parition. I am a bit of a newbie with Linux and not sure how to
check the swap? Anyway from what I can tell the manager says the swap is okay.

Hibernate:
Causes the laptop to blank the screen and then returns to gnome asking for the
unlock password. This all happens in about 1-2 seconds. Everything appears to
be okay after the attempt to hibernate.

Hardware specifications:
Hypersonic Aviator AX6
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+
1GB RAM

BIOS Insyde Software SCU V1.09

You will have to let me know what other hardware information you need?
