I am not sure which effects you are referring to. One of the first changes that I made after installation ( at the beginning of this month from a disc supplied by the University of KZN) was to increase the number of workspaces from two to four. As four is the default number there would seem to be an error there. Also I suspect that the problem is that all the workspaces are numbered "1" so the dragging does not recognise that there is more than one workspace, even though all the workspaces are useable as normal.
