Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I loved the install by the way. Much faster and easier than XP. But
now I have no sound. I'm new to Linux/IUbuntu, and would like to know
how to open a shell to enter code. I'm using the latest version 8.04
download off the web. I believe that would be Debian Installer??? Your
help would greatly be appriciated.
