Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Ubuntu 8.10 nautilus: Installed: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status What I expected: nautilus should show the contents of a hard drive as, well, contents of a hard drive. What happened: When I open nautilus to look at the contents of -- a) my usb-connected Western Digital Passport HD (/dev/sdc1, ext3) b) my internal modular bay HD (/dev/sdb1, ext3) -- the right-hand pane of nautilus shows a banner which states -- "These files are on a Picture CD." I have used the Media tab of nautilus preferences to "Do nothing" for all media types, and I have checked the "Never prompt or start programs on media insertion" checkbox. IIRC, I saw this when I first installed Ubuntu 8.04, but it went away when I removed F-Spot -- but I might be wrong about that. Anyway, I wasn't plagued by the problem in 8.04. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cd nautilus picture -- nautilus thinks HDs mounted under /media are Picture CDs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294166 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
