Posted the following evaluation upstream: crash happens because of folder=0x0 ... reason for that is not OOM, but the user sees the following assertions on console before crash happens:
(evolution:17980): camel-WARNING **: camel_type_register: 'CamelExchangeFolder' has smaller class size than parent 'CamelOfflineFolder' hence creating exchange folder fails and folder ends up being 0x0 Not sure how that can happen.
