I just upgraded Hardy -> Intrepid and came across this problem that every letter is deemed to be a misspelled word. It is very, very annoying. Very few Ubuntu users will see this as a quirk, they will see it as a disaster. Can I suggest this should be seen as a critical blocking bug to be fixed asap.
(Along with the disaster that is the neverending update of the cache files -- in the end I had to stop Evolution and delete the entire IMAP cache and start again..
