Work recently done on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352287 (the dependency of our upstream) has just been committed to trunk (2.25.*). This work has added the option of building Evo linking to gweather (and, thus, providing weather data much more extensively than on current stable).
I do not think we will have it for stable, though -- the dependency for libgweather is >= 2.25.3.
