Binary package hint: gdm
I think this is a gdm bug but it could be fglrx.
My machine is an HP/Compaq 6910p. I used Wubi to install Ubuntu and it
seems to work fine as long as it is on AC power. I tried to start it up
on battery power recently and got a blank screen after the Ubuntu splash
screen. It is a repeatable bug, every time I start on AC power it
starts up and functions just fine.
