Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

The recent change to make gnome-session use gnome-power-manager for
power management breaks suspend. G-p-m pops up a notification bubble
pointing to a FAQ page on gnome.org that doesn't really shed any light
on why it doesn't work.

I guess that the real bug is in gnome-power-manager, since suspend
worked before this patch (going through gpm I think?). But since it was
this particular change that broke the functionality for me, I'm filing
the bug here. Let me know if I can help get this working somehow.

** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
