Michael: I definitely agree with a. But precisely because there's work to get out of this mess, I'd like to separate issues so that we can sort out the ones which correspond to Intrepid, where the DVD playback system is completely different in Totem.

It's not considered as stable for now, and only included in gsteeamer- plugins-bad (itoften breaks DVD playback when used). Toni: It could be nice to browse all duplicates here, but it can be a real pain. I'd rather wait for new bugs to be reported in Intrepid and Jaunty, since it's only there that we'll be able to improve resindvd. I don't expect upstream developers to work much on issues present in the old plugin.
