I have a pretty good understanding of this issue (well, the issue fixed
by my patch). It was introduced by a patch pulled in from CVS. However,
that particular patch was flawed and makes smbspool segfault upon
startup. The "linux2go" patch fixes that particular issue. I believe
that any remaining segfaults are symptoms of a different issue.

I don't have the black belt in bug management and QA, etc., but I think
I see your point. However, I think the best - although not strictly by
the almighty book of QA procedures -  way to go about this is to maybe
change the description of this bug to match the issue fixed by my patch.
However, you're the expert and I'm really a lot more interested in
fixing bugs than managing bugs. :-)
