Whenever I close my laptop and open it again, Ubuntu hangs and I am
forced to force shut down my computer. I have it set to Suspend when the
computer is closed, with or without AC power. The problem is when I try
to open it back up, it just hangs before I am given a chance to put in
my login info, it will either stay a black screen or show a little white
from what should be the login screen.
I had installed Ubuntu 8.04 via Wubi than updated it to Ubuntu 8.10 via
Ubuntu, I didn't mess with Wubi. I was told that that was the way to
upgrade Ubuntu. Here are my computer specs:
Manufacturer: Dell
Model: Inspiron 1521
Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90GHz
Memory (RAM): 1918MB
System Type: 32-bit Operating System
Current Operating System: Ubuntu 8.10, Windows Vista Home Premium
I am filing a bug report for both wubi and ubuntu, this is because I do
not know which one is the problem. Thank you.
