Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I have a dual-boot ubuntu/XP system running mostly in linux. When running Ubuntu (intrepid) I plug-in my AC adapter and it runs strictly on the AC not charging the laptop battery... it will say "Computer is running on AC Power, Laptop battery charging (23.1%), Battery charge time is currently unknown" Best part is... this message never changes and the battery doesn't get charged at all. I have checked the battery on XP and as soon as I plug the AC in the battery begins charging. What exactly is going on here? I can only charge this laptop in Windows which is a nightmare, I hate having to switch OS for the battery. Any help is greatly appreciated! ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- battery won't charge until critically low - dell XPS M1210 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315305 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
