I forgot to mention that when I try to hibernate, after Ubuntu simienly closes, 
I get 4 lines that says something like:

ATA 1 [some numbers]
  .... ah I found it in kern.log:

 at least I think its it. The time is about right so...

I'm contemplating installing uswsusp but I hope that there will be a fix 
instead.
