It must be a kernal bug as it was working fine in Hardy. I guess it'll have to wait till Jaunty or you'll need to roll back to Hardy. There is a work around I used to restore my Volume and Mute keys by mapping them to keys on the numeric keypad (+ - and *) since most people rarely use them. E.
