I seem to have the same issue here on an AMD64 Dualcore 6000+ with Ubuntu 8.04.1
I just inserted a CD, it tells me that I can help making the database large and upload the info, which I wanted to do and then it tells me, that it can't send it. - No clear error message so that I can't understand and tell you where the problem lies.
