Public bug reported:

With clean known_hosts file:
1. Create SSH(sftp) connection to server with using 'connec to server...' gnome
menu item.
2. Open connection and authenticate.

>From command line:
3. ssh [server from above].

(!)Problem ssh fails with a man-in-the-middle attack warning due to fingerprint
mismatch.

4. remove offending line from known_hosts
5. repeat step 3, (login works, after adding to known_hosts)

(!) Network places folder from step 1 stop working.
(sorry cant remember the exact error message)

When the host entry removed from known_hosts gnome mapping works again.

Do they create a different fingerprint somehow?

** Affects: gnome-vfs2 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
