Krzysztof, You won't be able to open templates in OOo once I fix this bug... at least the way you want me to fix it. The mime-type in shared-mime-info probably needs to be changed to something like application/x-msword- template since it is non-standard. Then I can add that to the ooo- writer.desktop file so that it can open templates using the new legal mimetype name.
However until that time I suppose I will delete the .dot support from openoffice.org packaging. This causes all Word documents (both *.doc and *.dot) to be described as "Word document template in Nautilus. <mime-type type="application/msword"> <comment>Word document template</comment> <glob pattern="*.dot"/> </mime-type> The solution is to remove this part of the file altogether. + + shared-mime-info defined its own application/msword-template mimetype + instead of using application/x-msword-template for unknown reason as its + not a IANA mimetype. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Chris Cheney (ccheney) -- non legal IANA mimetype name for Word document template mime type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294677 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shared-mime-info in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
