I'm looking into this problem; for some reason the desktop is not clearing the attributes on the file when they're restored from trash; it only happens on the desktop directory from what I've seen, so it's probably a deeper architectural problem in nautilus (something to do with nautilus-desktop-directory or the monitoring on the desktop directory).
However, the more brutish approach of clearing the attributes a few milliseconds after we issue the file move operation fixes the bug at very little performance cost, so it might be well enough to just bandaid this one. I'm going to keep looking into this though. ** Attachment added: "fix-lock-attribute.diff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21533805/fix-lock-attribute.diff -- Files restored from the Trash have a "Lock" emblem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276112 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
