I'm looking into this problem; for some reason the desktop is not
clearing the attributes on the file when they're restored from trash; it
only happens on the desktop directory from what I've seen, so it's
probably a deeper architectural problem in nautilus (something to do
with nautilus-desktop-directory or the monitoring on the desktop
directory).

However, the more brutish approach of clearing the attributes a few
milliseconds after we issue the file move operation fixes the bug at
very little performance cost, so it might be well enough to just bandaid
this one. I'm going to keep looking into this though.
