Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. The version of gedit is 2.24.2.

When using the keyboard short cut to open a file, ctrl+o, the window for
selecting a file to open is cramped and has to be resized before it can
actually be used. When selecting 'file->open...' the windows has a
usable size. My guess is that the "file selection window" isn't
"layout'ed" or something like that. Shouldn't the same method handle the
opening of this "file selection window"? (My guess is that it isn't.)
