Hi Bartolomeo, When having problems with Ubuntu, you should search for bugs or file a new one on Ubuntu bugs (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu). Since you reported this bug for Launchpad itself, I'm marking it as Invalid here. About the problem: I've searched amongst Ubuntu bugs and didn't seem to find any similar problems. So I assigned this bug to gnome-panel, but I'm not really sure it's a real bug or just a side effect of your dist-upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04.
Have you searched Google or Launchpad Ubuntu answers (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu) for people with similar problems?
